What's that just over on the horizon? Oh, you can't see it because it's, by definition, over the horizon? And the optical curve of the earth is hiding it from your line of sight? Well shows what you know, because that metaphor for something-that's-almost-here-but-not-quite is the MOON! And I know it's there right over the horizon because I put it there. That's right.
